Our family arrived in Hawaii, almost a week later, and I was thrilled to go up to the desk my nammu order was waiting for me with the concierge. I made a wise choice having nammu sent to our destination instead of our home in the USA. I bought hats for my family and 2 for me. I decided I wanted one for snorkelling and diving with ear and neck protection, no visor.. The other hat I choose was just with the visor. I was thinking to use this hat for walking on the beach and light swimming. Everyone went back to our hotel and immediately tried on the nammu. They looked good and fit well. Everyone was happy. We had a bite to eat and off to our first snorkelling adventure. The hats worked well, Everyone had complete sun protection and no sunburns. We basically spent the better part of our trip wearing hats, in and out of the water, hiking and any sports activity. They are comfortable dry or wet, and we simply give them a rinse at night, hang them to dry for the next day.
We all decided to go relax on the beach, of course wearing nammu. I was sitting on the beach with my wife. My youngest daughter was playing in the sand with another girl around 10yrs old.
My daughter came running to me and told me that her new friend was sad. The girl was wearing a baseball cap, and would not go into the water. I asked my daughter why, and she told
me that her friend’s hair was falling out due to a condition of Alopecia. She said she was sad and did not feel good about people seeing her hair like that. We still had a couple of weeks left on our vacation, and I knew my daughter had made a new friend to be with. I told her to go up to our hotel room and bring back the second nammu hat to give to her new friend. My daughter was delighted, came back a few minutes later and presented this nammu confidence to her friend.
