I bought this as a gift for my brother-in-law. He said he didn’t swim during the daytime because he didn’t want to sunburn his scalp — so I surprised him with this Nammu swim head bandana. He loved it!! Also, I accidentally double-ordered this, not realizing it, but Nammu caught the error & sent me an email about it, asking if I had meant to double order it. They were so friendly, polite & gracious about it. I would definitely order from them again. Very, very happy with this company & the product I purchased from them.
I went scuba diving in Cozumel. As I heard the diving is fabulous. When I boarded the dive boat, I realized most of the boat was not protected from the sun, and I forgot my hat.
The people were very friendly, and I noticed that one of the divers was wearing a unique and cool-looking sun hat. The hat covered the divers’ ears and back of the neck and had a logo on it.
The logo was a picture of the sun and called nammu. I asked the diver where he found this hat and told me, he ordered it from a small Canadian company. He always uses it for diving and anywhere he is out in the sun. The diver continued to tell me that the hat is made of nylon and spandex, is very comfortable and gives him complete sun protection on his head, ears and neck. The hat is also tied at the back for extra support during any type of outdoor activity. The nammu hat is durable and lasts a long time before needing to be replaced. The next thing I knew, he reached into his dive bag and tossed me over one. I put it on and started to gear up for our first dive into the Palomar caves. The hat felt comfortable and my goggles fit nicely over it.
We would be on our excursion for about 4-5 hours and experience two different dives with a break between each site. I am susceptible to ear infections so I was hoping the earflaps securely covering my ears under the goggles would help. The dive was fabulous and once we resurfaced and boarded the boat, I took off my gear but kept the nammu hat on and relaxed.
The hat felt great underwater so I kept it on while sitting on the deck of the boat in the sun.
For the rest of my trip, I wore a hat whenever outside near the water. I never experienced an ear infection and did not get sunburnt. Going forward, I will always use this hat for diving and outdoor activities.
