Scuba diving with my new partner nammu hat

Scuba diving is my favorite water sport.

When I scuba diving under the water, I feel like I’m flying. Though the scuba gear is heavy to carry on land, and I am very clumsy when it’s come to put it on and get ready for the dive, when I’m under the water it is all gone. I’m weightless, my breathing is slow and relax, my movements are soft and calm and I feel like I’m flying underwater.

Though I dove to see ship racks, in caves and archaeological sites underwater, my most prefer diving scenario is coral reefs. I found it spectacular. The endless shapes of corals, the colors, the exotic fish, and other sea creatures, make me feel like I’m flying in outer space.  Here is a picture of me diving in the Red sea (my favorite diving location).

I have a scuba diving license to up to 30 meters deep. But most coral reefs don’t require more than 10-meter deep diving. The corals, which feed the rich sea life in the reef need the sunlight to grow and live. For me, this is the perfect scuba diving set up. At 10 meter deep it is not as cold as it in deeper depth, which is great for me because I don’t like to dive with a full diving suit. 

For some time now,  I was looking for a scuba diving gear or hat to protect my head from the sun, when I dive in shallow water by the reefs, and also a hat that can hold my long hair, stay on tight yet won’t stop the blood circulation. And if possible to look stylish as well.

Luckily when I searched online I found this testimonial by Kimberly form California, USA showing her picture with scuba diving gear and a scuba diving hat, she also uses for snorkeling called Nammu Hats. Kimberly wrote, that she has one Nammu hat in black and one white, she loves using it! and It’s perfect for holding back her long hair when scuba diving and snorkeling.

Kimberly’s hair looks longer and thicker than mine. I also want the hat to protect from the sun, while diving and while in the boat on the way to the diving location or on the beach while I’m getting ready to dive. I ordered a few nammu hats in solid colors and prints. The hats are very comfortable and fashionable looking. 

I am going this summer to dive into the red sea again, this time with my new diving hat, and my new underwater camera.

These hats are great, for me it is the only product I have tried for sun protection that stays on during SCUBA diving and free diving. For Mia it works to keep her long hair away from her face for her mask seal and again it does not come off. Neoprene caps work but they are hot down here and they look lousy (important for Mia).
