My husband, who is trying to protect decades of sun-damaged skin around the hairline, field-tested this in the very strong August sun while canoeing on lakes in La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve in NW Quebec. He is very happy with it. Also worked as an eyeglasses retainer, to fend off the mosquitoes, and keep the ears warm in the evening chill.
