The fabric is the same 80% nylon / 20% spandex blend used across the Nammu line: UPF 50+, quick-dry, and built to stay on in any water.

It felt comfortable. It totally protected my head from the sun. It was very relaxing to float in the water, feel the coolness of the water, and not have my head get sunburned.
