While planning a trip to Costa Rica I purchased the classic Nammu swim cap for my 1 year old son who uses cochlear implants (my son currently wears the nucleus 7 processors on both ears). This was our first trip to the beach since my son was implanted and I was feeling a little nervous about trying to keep his processors on while at the beach or in the pool since they’re a bit bulky with the swim kits over the processors. I have to say I was so incredibly pleased with how well this swim cap worked over his processors. I can track the number of times his coils disconnect through an app on my phone. After a full day of wearing his processors under the Nammu swim cap at the beach I checked my app to see there had been ZERO disconnects throughout the entire day!!! This swim cap gives my son the ability to run jump and play in the water like all his normal hearing peers!

Hello from the Arafura Sea. I bought the hat for snorkelling under this intense sunshine. Protection is great for thinning hair! My only suggestion would be to perhaps strengthen or stiffen (add one extra thickness?) the ‘band’ around the hat so that when doffing a snorkel mask the hat doesn’t come off as easily.

With thinning hair on top, I wanted to protect my scalp while snorkeling and swimming in the Bahamas. This hat was brilliant for that, just needed to push it up in front slightly so mask would seal. Felt completely secure, never a hint of slipping off. Of course I got immense grief from my adult children, but hey, it’s my scalp and I think it’s actually a rather stylish solution- a lot better-looking and more comfortable than a silicone swim cap. My previous hat didn’t have the elastic band attached to the edge, the fabric was elastic itself. I will not by Nammy hats again.

I teach SCUBA Diving and the top of my head often gets sunburned. I have used the Classic Nammu head covers for several years (this is a repeat order) and it is the most comfortable and effective cover I have found. The cover stays on during giant stride water entries and you almost forget that you are wearing the cover. My students that have long hair enjoy how the cover keeps hair organized and not getting tangled in mask straps and snorkels. I really love the product!
